2. Age restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase an imitation firearm or realistic imitation firearm from The Gaming Vault.

By ordering an age-restricted product, you confirm that:

  • You are aged 18 or over.

  • The purchaser and payment-card holder details are accurate.

  • You will provide suitable proof of age when requested.

  • The item is being purchased for a lawful purpose.

We may use an age-verification service or request photographic identification. We may refuse or cancel an order where we cannot reasonably verify the purchaser’s age.

It is an offence for a person under 18 to purchase an imitation firearm and an offence to sell one to a person under 18.

3. Realistic imitation firearms

The sale, manufacture and importation of realistic imitation firearms are controlled by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006.

A realistic imitation firearm will only be supplied where The Gaming Vault is satisfied that the sale is covered by an applicable statutory defence.

A customer does not necessarily require a “UKARA licence.” UKARA registration is one method retailers may use to verify that a purchaser is an active airsoft skirmisher. It does not itself create the defence.

Evidence we may consider includes:

  • A current and verifiable UKARA player registration.

  • Appropriate evidence relating to insured airsoft skirmishing.

  • Evidence supporting historical re-enactment.

  • Evidence relating to theatrical, film or television production.

  • Museum or gallery use.

  • Another defence recognised by applicable legislation.

We reserve the right to request supporting information and to refuse a transaction where we are not satisfied that a lawful defence applies.

Government firearms guidance advises retailers to establish that a purchaser relying on the airsoft-skirmishing defence is connected with insured recreational airsoft activity. UKARA’s database is commonly used as evidence for this purpose.

4. Two-tone imitation firearms

Customers who cannot demonstrate an applicable defence may be offered an imitation firearm finished principally in a colour recognised by the relevant regulations, subject to age verification and availability.

Recognised bright colours include bright red, orange, yellow, green, pink, purple and blue, as well as transparent finishes. Whether a product qualifies will depend on its overall appearance and the applicable legal test.

We will not modify a realistic imitation firearm into a two-tone product unless we are satisfied that the finished product complies with the law.

5. Conditions of sale

All orders are subject to:

  • Product availability.

  • Correct pricing and product information.

  • Successful payment.

  • Age verification where required.

  • Verification of an applicable defence where a realistic imitation firearm is ordered.

  • Our acceptance of the order.

An automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where:

  • Age or defence verification is unsuccessful.

  • We reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful use.

  • A product is unavailable.

  • A material pricing or product-description error has occurred.

  • Delivery cannot lawfully or safely be completed.

Where payment has already been taken for a cancelled order, the appropriate amount will be refunded.

6. Product information and prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

Each product listing should provide, where relevant:

  • Product description.

  • Price.

  • Whether the replica is realistic or two-tone.

  • Power or velocity information supplied by the manufacturer.

  • Included accessories.

  • Battery and charger requirements.

  • Delivery restrictions.

  • Age and defence requirements.

Product photographs are illustrative. Minor variations in colour, finish or packaging may occur.

7. Payment

We accept the payment methods displayed during checkout.

Payment must be authorised before an order can be dispatched. We may carry out reasonable security, age and defence checks before accepting the order.

8. Delivery

Available delivery services, charges and estimated times will be shown during checkout.

Orders containing age-restricted products may require:

  • Age verification before dispatch.

  • Delivery using an appropriate age-verified or signed-for service.

  • Delivery to the verified purchaser or address.

  • Additional time to complete defence checks.

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. We will not intentionally deliver an age-restricted item to a person we know or reasonably believe to be under 18.

Unless another delivery period has been agreed, online orders should ordinarily be delivered within 30 days.

9. Online cancellation rights

For most goods purchased online, consumers may cancel their order without giving a reason.

The cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the day on which the customer, or a person nominated by the customer, receives the goods.

To cancel, the customer must send us a clear statement by email, post or another method we accept. Customers may also use the cancellation form at the bottom of this page.

After notifying us of cancellation, the customer must normally return the goods within a further 14 days.

Exceptions may apply to certain products, including goods made to a customer’s specification, sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, or goods that become inseparably mixed with other items. An exception will only be applied where legally permitted.

These cancellation rights do not affect rights relating to faulty or incorrectly described goods.

10. Returns following a change of mind

Before returning an item, contact us using the details shown on this page.

Customers must take reasonable care of returned goods. They may inspect products as they would in a shop but may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the product’s nature, characteristics and functioning.

Unless the goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by the customer’s statutory rights, the customer is normally responsible for direct return-postage costs.

We recommend using an insured and tracked return service. Customers remain responsible for returned goods until they are received by us.

Where a complete order is cancelled, the basic outbound delivery charge will ordinarily be refunded as required by law. Additional charges chosen for an enhanced delivery service may not be refundable.

11. Refunds

Where cancellation rights apply, we will process the refund within the legally required period.

We may withhold the refund until:

  • We receive the returned goods; or

  • The customer supplies evidence that the goods have been sent back,

whichever happens first.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

12. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods

Nothing in this policy reduces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.

Customers may be entitled to a remedy where goods are:

  • Faulty.

  • Not as described.

  • Unsuitable for their intended purpose.

  • Incorrectly supplied.

Depending on the circumstances and the time that has passed, remedies may include rejection and refund, repair, replacement or a price reduction.

Customers should contact us promptly and explain the issue. We may request photographs, video, serial numbers or return of the product for assessment.

A full refund must be available where the legal requirements for rejecting faulty, incorrectly described or unsuitable goods are met.

13. Twelve-month warranty

Unless a longer written warranty is stated on the product page, new airsoft replicas supplied by The Gaming Vault include a 12-month retailer warranty against manufacturing defects, beginning on the date of delivery or collection.

This warranty is additional to, and does not replace or restrict, the customer’s statutory rights.

The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Misuse, abuse or neglect.

  • Accidental or impact damage.

  • Water, moisture or improper storage.

  • Incorrect maintenance.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Use of unsuitable ammunition, gas, batteries or chargers.

  • Operation outside the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Unauthorised disassembly, alteration, repair or modification.

  • Deliberately removing or damaging identifying or warranty markings.

We will not automatically reject a claim merely because an item has been inspected or maintained. We will consider whether the alleged modification or misuse caused or contributed to the reported fault.

14. Warranty claims

To make a claim, contact us with:

  • Your name and order number or proof of purchase.

  • The product make and model.

  • The serial number, where applicable.

  • A clear description of the fault.

  • Photographs or video where reasonably requested.

The product may need to be returned for inspection. Following assessment, we will provide the remedy required by law or available under the warranty.

Do not send a replica to us without first obtaining return instructions.

15. Repairs and servicing

The Gaming Vault may offer paid repairs or servicing for selected airsoft products.

Before accepting paid work, we will explain:

  • Any inspection or assessment charge.

  • The estimated repair price.

  • Whether customer approval is required before additional work.

  • The estimated turnaround time.

  • Collection or return-delivery arrangements.

Repair estimates are not guarantees where hidden faults are discovered after disassembly. We will obtain permission before carrying out work that materially exceeds an agreed quotation.

Items left uncollected will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Any storage charge or disposal process will be communicated separately and will not override the customer’s legal rights.

16. Modifications and power limits

Customers are responsible for using products lawfully and in accordance with the rules of the airsoft site they attend.

An airsoft replica must not be altered in a way that makes it unlawful. Modifications may also affect the manufacturer’s or retailer’s warranty where the modification caused the fault.

Product velocity may vary according to ammunition weight, temperature, gas, battery condition and testing equipment. Customers should chronograph replicas using the ammunition they intend to use and comply with site limits.

17. Responsible ownership and use

Airsoft replicas must be handled and transported responsibly.

Customers should:

  • Use suitable eye protection.

  • Transport replicas securely and out of public view.

  • Avoid displaying replicas in public.

  • Use replicas only at lawful venues or on private property with permission.

  • Prevent access by children and unauthorised persons.

  • Follow venue rules and applicable legislation.

Carrying an imitation firearm in a public place without lawful authority or reasonable excuse is an offence.

19. Personal information and verification records

Personal information used for age verification, defence verification, order processing, warranty claims and complaints will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Our separate Privacy Policy should explain:

  • What information is collected.

  • Why it is used.

  • How long it is retained.

  • Who it may be shared with.

  • Customers’ data-protection rights.

  • How to contact the business regarding personal information.

20. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or breach of statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those restrictions, we are not responsible for loss caused by unlawful, reckless or unintended use of an airsoft product.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom may also benefit from mandatory protections under the law applicable where they live.
